Jane Arthur, Vocalist

From Ewing, NJ, Jane is an incredibly diverse singer in every sense of the word. She was also known for many years as "Odette's famous singing bartender." Jane has performed several of her own cabaret shows and performs regularly throughout New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania as a vocalist at many prominent special events and in concert. Jane was seen in New York as part of a flood relief cabaret at the Iridium Jazz Club on Broadway. She has appeared as a guest artist with several groups across the region including "Two Hits and a Miss," the vocal trio “Boulevard East” and "The Lullaby of Broadway." She is a regular featured performer at the Bob Egan Showcases at the Stockton Inn

Michael Traupman - Singer, Show Producer

Living in Allentown, PA and working throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, Michael Traupman has developed a strong following among audiences throughout the region. He has appeared in more than a dozen theatrical productions regionally and regularly appears at private and corporate events. With musical director Cris Frisco, Traupman made his solo cabaret debut in April 2006 at the former Odette’s in New Hope. Over the last four years, Traupman has appeared regularly with singers Kate Varley and Susan Whiteneck in Bob Egan Entertainment’s “The Lullaby of Broadway Trio” at various locations throughout Bucks County and the Philadelphia Metro area.

 

Vice President of the Board of Civic Theatre of Allentown, Traupman has appeared in multiple productions with the Allentown group. He last appeared as Serge in their production of Yazmina Rema’s “Art.” Traupman’s other credits include Cleanté in Moliere’s “The Imaginary Invalid,” Bobby in “Company,” Franklin Shepherd in “Merrily We Roll Along,” the Baron in “Grand Hotel,” Gary/Roger in “Noises Off” and Young Buddy in “Follies.” Additionally, he has appeared in productions of “My Favorite Year,” “The Secret Garden,” Feydeau’s “Going to Pot,” Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” and Shaffer’s “Five Finger Exercise.”

 

Traupman directed and produced a string of fundraising concerts featuring the works of America’s favorite
Tin Pan Alley composers — among them “The Music of Harry Warren” with cabaret legend Margaret
Whiting — and sang with the vocal trio, Swing City Central for more than a decade. As a vocalist, Traupman
has performed both ensemble and solo work in the Western Antilles, London (U.K), New York, Philadelphia
and Washington, DC.

Rosemary Benson

A former Atlantic City Magazine “Entertainer of the Year”, Rosemary Benson is a singer, actor and voice-over artist, performing in the U.S., Canada, and Italy. Starting as a teenager, she covered songs by The Beatles, Carole King, and Bonnie Raitt, traveled on the road with dance bands, and appeared at night clubs, hotels and casinos throughout the U.S. Leading her own band, she sang in the lounges and showrooms of Atlantic City and Las Vegas. She has played leading roles in musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. As a voice-over artist and singer, Rosemary was the voice of Caesar’s Atlantic City Bacchanal and Showboat’s Basin Street Follies for seven years; she also recorded voice-overs, commercials, and background vocals for many casino shows, including New York, New York with Frank Gorshin.  Rosemary presented a series of fundraising concerts for South Jersey Regional Theater, including “Sassy: Remembering Sarah Vaughan,” with George Mesterhazy, and “A Salute to Irving Berlin,” arranged by Gary Haberman. She played the Red Hot Mama in a series of  Speakeeezy musicals that originated at The Claridge Hotel Casino in Atlantic City. She also appeared in “A Salute to Spike Jones” at Harrah’s Atlantic City. Playing with some of the best musicians in the country, she continues to perform with several big bands and jazz groups based in the NY-NJ-PA area, appearing at many private clubs as well as world-class venues. Her cabaret performances with Ward Marston feature many of the selections on their CD, Falling In Love Is Wonderful.

Eddie Bruce

Eddie Bruce is the consummate entertainer – he always has been. A regular at Feinstein’s, the Night Club of New York located in the Loews Regency Hotel, Eddie performs in concerts and cabarets throughout the country. He has been the Friday night entertainment at Philadelphia’s only casino, SugarHouse Casino, for over a year. Seen and heard frequently in the media, Eddie was the original host of “Dancin’ on Air” on Channel 17 and he served as the host of several of their reunion shows this past year. He was also a long-time substitute talk show radio host in Philadelphia. A popular bandleader, Eddie feels blessed to have had a career in music for over 30 years, a career that just gets better with time. And, according to several reviewers, his success is obvious. Michael Feinstein said about Eddie recently …. he has a “wonderful voice and stage presence to match.” And critic Harold Sanditen wrote in Cabaret Scenes … “You’ll leave with a smile on your face – guaranteed!”

Brett Colby

Brett Colby is a versatile singer/actor/director who has led a 15 year international career in opera and musical theatre, performing as far north as Alaska and as far east as Poland.   Performance credits include Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance (South Street Seaport, NYC), Goro in Madama Butterfly (El Paso Opera, Virginia Opera, Anchorage Opera and Cedar Rapids Opera), Spoletta in Tosca (Opera NJ and Opera Illinois) and Basilio in The Marriage of Figaro (Connecticut Grand Opera, Green Mountain Opera).  Film credits include the independent cult comedy The War on the War on Drugs.  On radio, Brett was a frequent guest on Power 105.1fm’s Dr. Dre in the Morning Show, singing operatic renditions of pop songs in a segment called HipHopera.   Brett’s original pieces include My Funny Bitter Funny Valentine (an evening of comedic songs for the romantically challenged) and a work in progress about his alter ego, nightclub entertainer Lyle Lynde.  Recent Theatre credits include Harold Hill in The Music Man at The Algonquin Theatre, Manasquan, NJ and The Narrator in the highly acclaimed ReVision Theatre production of The Rocky Horror Show. brettcolby.com

Barbara Gurskey

Barbara Guskey is a versatile  singer and stage actress, Barbara has appeared at a variety of cabaret venues including Don’t Tell Mama, The Duplex and Café Iguana in New York City, Bob Egan’s Cabaret in New Hope, PA,  McLoone’s Super Club in Asbury Park NJ., and “Cabaret Stars in Concert” with Julie Wilson, Sally Mayes, and  Sharon McNight.  Barbara is equally comfortable on the theatrical stage, having worked Off Broadway, Regional and Summer Stock in productions as diverse as South Pacific (Bloody Mary), The Laramie Project (Marge Murray) and Kurt Weill’s Private Lives of the Master Race.  Barbara has created several roles in original shows including Flo in the award winning production of “Loose Joints”.  She has studied with Helen Gallagher, Betty Buckley and Mary Rogers, and can be heard on Embraceable You, the sound track of the film of the same name.

Kathy Graham

Kathy Graham – Audiences from Maine to Florida and everywhere in between have been delighted by Kathy’s performances as she’s sung innovative renditions of the world’s most beautiful music in her one woman shoe. Her dynamic and warm personality is comfortable on any stage in any venue and her four octave range is at home with pop and rock music as well as contemporary Broadway and legit musical theater. For the last several years, Kathy has performed all over the east coast featured with show business veterans such as Darlene Love, Gail Nelson, Adam Wade, Jackie Mason, Rich Little, and Yakov Smirnoff to name a few. Kathy’s warmth and confidence with her audience is supported by years of experience in featured roles at the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey, The Great Barrington Stage Company in Massachusetts, and the State Theater of Unionville Pa. Her theater credits include principle roles in Mame, L’il Abner, Bye Bye Bridie, The Me Nobodys Knows, The Sound of Music and many many more. Her special distinction is the ability to charm audiences with her warm, friendly personality combined with a voice that is both beautiful and surprisingly powerful. Her repertoire contains everything from Blues To Broadway and can be tailored to suit any audience.

Rand Hubiak (“The Random Hubiak”)

Rand Hubiak (The Random Hubiak) is a singer/songwriter whose original music can one moment evoke Springsteen and the next moment Sondheim.  Rand is a performer with and extremely wide vocal range, as well as musical tastes.   He’s a lover of the Great American Songbook, Broadway, Folk, Country, Pop music, and loves his Rock and Roll! He currently has one album available on iTunes and Amazon, Endless Street: A Spiritual Travelogue and another due out this coming summer.

Devyn Rush

Devyn Rush, best known as “The Singing Waitress” on Season 10 of American Idol, has been singing for as long as she could talk. Having grown up in a very musical family and originating the role of Anna in Spring Awakening at Lincoln Center and understudying off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theatre, Devyn decided to move to New York City immediately after graduating high school. Now a singer/songwriter and yoga teacher, Devyn is passionate about child advocacy, especially in the areas of bully prevention. Rush now combines songwriting with yoga to build emotional self-awareness and awareness of others for adolescents. Her goal is to connect with students and build trusting relationships. She works with various organizations and is also a public speaker.

Lisa Sherman

Lisa Sherman has spent 15 years professionally performing on Broadway as a singer-dancer in addition to being part of the Radio City Music Hall stage productions for 4 years.  Lisa has been seen in many TV commercials, daytime soap operas in addition to  modeling many years for “Maidenform Lingerie.  Lisa has a degree in Dance-Exercise Kinesiology and spent 9 years in New Zealand as the creator and featured performer in her own exercise program series and continues to instruct exercise sciences, personal training and group fitness classes.  Presently Lisa performs independently with various shows and bands within the tri-state area including: the Jazz Lobsters, Bob Egan Entertainment, Mike Byrne Orchestra, Kindred, and musicians including: Marc Ribler, Sandy Mack, Slim Chance and the Gamblers, Linda Chorney, Bob Berger, Vance Villastrigo, Jeff Ganz.    Lisa continues to headline her own one woman concert called “Songbird” which has been presented at the Algonquin, Count Basie and Strand Theatre.  Last but certainly not least, Lisa’s greatest achievement is being a Mom to her daughter Chelsea.
